Guess What?!

We've got a court date!!

February 9th!

We're still waiting to hear if we will travel once at the court date and then again to bring him home or if Anna will be allowed to stay the 6-8 weeks between court and embassy. Apparently there is a meeting tomorrow where this possibility will be discussed. We'd appreciate your prayers - we're really hoping Anna can stay.

  2. Anna- does it typically take about a month from referral to get a court date and then about two months from that time until the court date is scheduled? I'm just trying to figure out what to expect. SO happy for you and I hope you get to stay in ET since that is what you want to do! Randee Jones

  3. I'm so glad you know when the court date is. Last night mom was looking at an american girl doll catolog and saw a bitty twin that looked like Eli and wanted to get it. can't wait to see him for real but I have to. Love you Karli.

  4. Dear Jon and Anna,

I have been following your blog since the beginning of this year. Many of your blogs make me laugh, many make my heart all warm and fuzzy, but all of them make me smile and immediately take time out of my day to pray for ya'll. I have prayed for safe trips, I have prayed for an easier adoption process, and I have prayed that God will choose the "perfect" baby for the two of you. I can't imagine how heart-wrenching it must be to fly to Ethiopia and not have the capabilities to bring every child home. The life you lead is one to be admired and a reminder to me to live my life by my actions. I am so happy to finally see that your patience and your prayers have been answered. Eli's eyes and cute belly speaks volumes and I can only imagine how beautiful he must be. I hope that the rest of this journey is smooth and I can't wait to hear more! Congratulations to the both of you! Eli is lucky to have such wonderful people to love, guide, teach, and nourish him! -Tram-Anh
